Study in Estonias successful visit to Georgia

Study in Estonia has returned from successful visit to Georgia. During five days, Study in Estonia in cooperation with Estonian universities University of Tartu, Tallinn University of Technology and Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre organized several info-sessions in local universities, took part of International Education Fair in Tbilisi and met also with respected alumni of Estonian universities.


Pre to the visit and during their time in Georgia, Study in Estonia initiated 2 week active information campaign which included advertisements in social media, radio, posters, flyers and interview in local TV channel Rustavi 2 (“Good Morning, Georgia”). As a result, the number of interested students and participants of the events, greatly exceeded the expectations of the organizers.

The visit to Tbilisi started with mini fair and info-session in respected Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University on 12th of February and was followed by another info-session at renowned Ilia State University. Around 40 students took use of this opportunity and showed up great interested towards study or exchange possibility in Estonia. The last info-session of Study in Estonia took place on 16th of February at Didube Plaza in Tbilisi and was participated more than 250 Georgian students. The level of interest towards Estonia was very high and many students used on-spot possibility to ask all relevant questions personally from university representatives, start up the application procedure or take the English test of one attending Estonian university.

International Education Fair was another highly successful event, where Study in Estonia and our universities were represented with booth. During two days (14.-15.02), hundreds of students discovered Estonia as a new possible study destination for them. The International Education Fair was attended first time by Study in Estonia and is one of the most well-known international fairs in Georgia. Among with local universities, numerous international higher education offering institutions or organizations were present and shared information about study possibilities.

During the visit, Study in Estonia in cooperation with Estonian Embassy in Tbilisi, organized also a special alumni evening to all students who have studied in Estonia. The event, which took place in Estonian Embassy, connected more than 60 people and even older generation of alumni members, who studied in Estonia during the period of 1972-1978 were represented. Study in Estonia and our universities was extremely happy to meet and greet our alumni and currently we are hoping to turn it into a yearly event.
