THE CAMPUS OF TALLINN TECH WAS CHOSEN AMONG THE BEST IN THE WORLD!

The campus of Tallinn University of Technology (Tallinn Tech) won a prestigious international competition. The jury of the competition “Science and Education”, taking place under the leadership of the Club of the Rectors of Europe, bringing together the heads of universities from 30 countries, highlighted the modernity, innovation, and close links to high-tech companies of the campus of Tallinn Tech, as well as the attention it gives to learning opportunities for young families and the provision of childcare services.

“To reach among the best is recognition of many years of work during which we have established a world-class learning, research, business, and living environment under the pines of Mustamäe District,” Rector Andres Keevallik said.

Approximately a total of 14,400 students study and a total of 1,100 researchers and professors as well as 162 enterprises with a total of 2,600 employees work in the campus, which also includes the Estonian IT College and Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol and which is situated in Mustamäe District in Tallinn, Estonia.

In the category of campuses of the competition “Science and Education”, the jury evaluated the architecture and design of various university campuses, their environment, infrastructure, modern accommodation, sports and health facilities, catering, student activity, diversity and quality of leisure facilities, and the use of modern technologies.

A total of 17 works qualified for the final round of the competition. As a result of the jury and public Internet voting, a total of seven winning entries were chosen (www.summitofleaders.co.uk/en/winners-2), among which the jury, in turn, chose Tallinn Tech.
