Building a successful career as a manager or highly acclaimed specialist requires professional know-how. This programme is one of the world’s 122 best ones in the field, giving you a chance to specialise in marketing or finances in a global context.

This highly recognised (EFMD-accredited) programme is for you if you are dreaming of a managerial career in an international organisation, either in the private or public sector. You can either specialise in finance and accounting or in marketing and communication. Not only will you have a good knowledge of your specialisation but also intrapreneurial skills to take initiative and implement innovative ideas.

The programme also supports your *personal developmen*t by helping you to build a distinctive set of professional competencies.

Marketing and Communication

You will be able to plan and implement suitable marketing activities for achieving company objectives, and convincingly and professionally present your ideas.

When specialising in the direction of Marketing and Communication, you will learn:

  • digital marketing and advertising;
  • consumer behaviour and pricing;
  • cross-cultural communication and business behaviour.

Finance and Accounting

You will acquire the necessary knowledge in finance and accounting to work as a financial specialist or manage your finances successfully as a small entrepreneur.

When specialising in the direction of finance and accounting, you will learn:

  • financing of start-ups;
  • investment management and risk analysis;
  • company financing and taxation;
  • financial reporting.

The study programme has been recognised by the CFA Institute, and courses in the field of finance are taught with regard to the first level requirements of CFA. The topics covered during courses in the field of accounting largely coincide with ACCA’s corresponding examination topics.

How studies are conducted

The studies are conducted in English and take place mainly on EBS Campus in Helsinki. Students travel once per semester to visit EBS Tallinn’s main campus. In addition to the lectures, the trip is often accompanied with company visits, as well as other networking opportunities.

All EBS study programmes are accredited by the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research. The Bachelor’s degree is comparable to the same field degree in Finland, as in other European Union countries, as well as with similar international qualifications. EBS Helsinki graduates are granted an official diploma approved by the Republic of Estonia.

Bachelor degree study period completed by the curriculum is 3.5 years. The study format allows, for example, part-time working, since studying in EBS Helsinki takes place in sessions. The session-based studies refer to contact teaching days; lectures and seminars, where the students will meet lecturers. Lectures are organized three days a week, every other week. Lecture dates are fixed through the studies (Tue/Wed/Sat or Thu/Fri/Sat).
