TUT BRAND NEW STUDY PROGRAMMES FOR MASTER STUDENTS

Starting from Autumn 2013, Tallinn University of Technology has two brand new study programmes for Master degree students: Master of e-Governance Technologies & Services and also Master of Technology of Wood and Plastic.


Master of e-Governance Technologies and Services, is very closely related with Estonia’s success in e-Government field. Estonia’s e-government and the country’s other innovative e-solutions have grown into one of world´s success stories of the last decade. Various theories and approaches have been created on the state level to develop and link together different technologies to implement e-governance practices on a state, local and individual level. The programme gives students a broad knowledge about creating a modern state – the transition into e-governance, its management and also development. Studies include a wide overview of administrative and legal aspects of e-governance. Students have unique possibility to do research on e-governance field with companies and take part of new development projects as well.

Master of Technology of Wood and Plastic provides specialisation either in wood or in plastic technology. The programme emphasises the basic practical knowledge in CAD-engineering programs and CAM-manufacturing technologies as it is globally important in every industrial sector. Moreover, module in curriculum gives students a unique opportunity to implement their individual research projects in collaboration with wood and plastic companies. This hands-on-approach and continuous co-operation with the industries provides students with positive learning environment to gain knowledge in solving technical engineering problems, experiences in teamwork and project management.

Tallinn University of Technology offers its new students a possibility to study on those Master’s programmes without a tuition fee! This option is for the most successful applicants for chosen programme as the number of places is limited.
