Students coming from Finland do not have to prove their language proficiency if they have at least “cum laude approbatur” in their matriculation certificate.
Students coming from Latvia do not have to prove their language proficiency for B2 level if they have at least grade “A” or “B” in their General Secondary Education Certificate.
Students graduted International Baccalaureate studies with ENGLISH B Level HL at least grade 6 do not have to prove their English proficiency for B2 level.
A motivation letter must be added to your application.
1) A motivation letter in English up to 2 pages describing the following: Introduce yourself from the professional background (related jobs, entrepreneurship, trainings). Describe why you are interested in studying open society technologies and how you see your career after graduation. Describe a technological issue/problem/challenge from open society you would like to explore during your Master studies. This part of the motivation letter should be supported with references to the literature.
2) Admission interview via Skype. The applicant is required to:
- Introduce yourself from the professional background (related jobs, entrepreneurship, trainings)
The applicant can address questions regarding the study programme during the interview.

It is an interdisciplinary programme carried out by the School of Digital Technologies and the School of Governance, Law, and Society. Thus, it offers a chance to get a wide perspective of Open Sciences, public participation and their technological support. The program includes a chance to see the connections between courses and practice interdisciplinary research.
